Nominating a Student!
SPW participates in the Silver Level Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme, which is a reward and recognition scheme for schools to celebrate the achievements of students.
What happens?
Two students are chosen to receive an Achievement Award each term. A student can qualify for an award in a variety of ways for example, overcoming adversity, contributing to the life of the school, personal achievement or for their contribution toward the local community. Students, staff, parents and governors can all nominate a student.
The SPW Jack Petchey Leaders Committee (comprising of students from student leadership), will decide the winner with the guidance of the cocurricular team.
What does the winner receive?
The winner receives a framed certificate, a pin badge, and £300 to be spent on a school project of their choice. The winner will be presented with a certificate in a special school assembly. A profile of the winner is displayed on the Jack Petchey notice board in school. They will also attend a borough presentation during the year.
How to nominate a student:
Nominations will be accepted throughout the year but must be received by the deadline stated. The latest student nomination form can be found on your teams page.
Nominating a member of Staff!
Each year a Leader Award can also be awarded. Any adult who has made an outstanding contribution to the life and work of the school can be nominated. If successful, the Leader can apply for a small grant award (up to £1000) for a project of their choice.
