Positive Recognition

Positive Recognition at St Paul's Way Secondary

Every Day

Every lesson, pupils can be awarded with 'Character' points. These recognise the hard work pupils put in to demonstrate our three values of Aspiration, Community and Integrity.

Every Week

Every week, teachers nominate a Student of the Week. The nominations are shared with pupils at Friday morning line ups and the winner is announced. The winner receives a badge, a postcard home and an invite to the end of term reward trip.

Every Half Term

Every half term, tutor groups compete in our Tutor Group Cup, battling it out to be named Tutor Group of the half term. The winner is selected based on the highest attendance and most character points. The winning tutor group wins a tutor time party at the end of the half term, as well as, of course, being awarded with the Tutor Group Cup in the Celebration Assembly. Our half termly Celebration Assemblies are an opportunity for pupils to win awards for their achievements, both in their lessons and their co-curricular activities.

Every Term

At the end of a term, a select number of pupils are invited to our reward trips. These trips include, for example, opportunities to go ice skating, visit a planetarium and laser quest.

Every Year

At the end of the school year, our Summer Celebration Event is held in July. This is an exclusive invitation-only event for the top three pupils from each year group, and their families, who have demonstrated our school values throughout the year.
