Student Leadership

Below is an organisational map of the structure of student leadership at SPWT. Through this structure, we are able to engage a vast number of students from across the school to engage with a wide range of leadership opportunities.

Process of Becoming a Student Leader

Head Girl and Head Boy

To become Head Girl or Head Boy, students must apply in writing to the select panel which includes the HT, SLE and the SL for whole school Communications.

Deputy Head Girl and Deputy Head Boy

To become DHG or DHB students must apply in writing to the select panel which includes the DOL, SLE and the SL for whole school Communications.

Form Representatives

Each tutor group will have a Form Representative nominated by their form and tutor. They will be attending Year Council Meetings once every half term and discussing issues concerning their year group.

Year Representatives

There will be one representative from each year group to act on behalf of the year group in School Council meetings. Year Representatives will be selected through an application process by YTL and SL.

Prefects and Senior Prefects

There will be ten Prefects from KS4 and 10 Senior Prefects from KS5. Students will apply through application forms and selected by HB/HG and SL.  KS4 Prefects will be paired with Year 7 tutor groups and KS5 students will be paired with Year 8 tutor groups. HB/HG will lead on Senior Prefects and DHB/DHG will lead on Prefects.
