Students at St Paul's Way Trust School have achieved fantastic success in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, showcasing confidence, creativity and powerful student voice.

Congratulations to Year 10 students Theo and Eiliyah who represented the school at the regional final on 26 March. Both students were selected as finalists from a pool of over a thousand participants, placing them among just 20 students to reach this stage of the competition.

Each student delivered a self written speech on a topic they felt passionate about. Theo explored the urgent issue of climate change, while Eiliyah spoke about the impact of social media.

Their speeches were highly commended by the judges for their clarity, confidence and thought provoking content.

A special congratulations goes to Eiliyah, who was awarded third place and proudly took home her first trophy from a competition. This is a significant achievement and a testament to her hard work and dedication.

We are incredibly proud of both students for representing the school so well and for using their voices to speak about important issues that affect young people today.

This achievement reflects our value of Aspiration, as Theo and Eiliyah demonstrated determination, courage and ambition in reaching such a high level in a national competition, inspiring others to aim high and believe in their potential.
