Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out Challenge’ - Regional Finals

The Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out Challenge’ regional finals took place on Monday the 27th at Bishop Challoner. The evening saw students from 14 schools in the Borough competing for a place at the next stage of the contest.

The competition was intense, all the students gave remarkable performances with their powerful, moving and uplifting speeches.  It was to the credit of our two students, Milly (My Mum and Me) and Sadia (What will you do: Climate Change) to have reached this level.  Both gave exceptional speeches with Milly taking second place and being asked to be part of the judging panel at next year’s event!  Congratulations to Milly and Sadia.

The Award Winner Presentation Evening took place on the 16th of March. The evening celebrated the hard work and success of students and staff alike who won awards for the 2015-2016 academic year. It was a wonderful evening with music, proud parents and prizes. It was also a great pleasure to see our former colleague, Tyrone, collecting his staff award.
