We are delighted to share that our school, in partnership with University Schools Trust colleagues, has launched an Attendance and Behaviour Hub to support schools across the country. This is part of the Department for Education’s national RISE programme, recognising our school’s excellent record in maintaining high attendance and strong behaviour standards.
The hub will enable us to share our approach, practical resources and effective practice with other schools, helping to improve attendance and behaviour outcomes for students nationwide. Research shows that students who attend school regularly achieve higher academic results, while also benefiting from the social connections and wellbeing that come from being part of a supportive school community.
Guests from schools across the country joined us for the launch day, experiencing our school routines, observing lessons, and participating in focus groups. They explored key areas including:
School Culture: How we create a safe, purposeful, and inclusive environment where every student feels they belong.
Attendance and Behaviour Strategies: Our systems, processes, and stepped support approaches to ensure students attend school regularly and demonstrate positive behaviour.
Inclusion and Pastoral Support: How our dedicated pastoral team works closely with students and families to provide tailored support.
Tracking, Reporting and Strategic Planning: How data is used to identify trends, intervene early, and plan targeted support.
We are proud of the work of our staff and the partnerships we build with families to ensure every student thrives. By opening our doors to other schools, we hope to share the strategies that make our school a safe and supportive place to learn, while also continuing to refine our own practice.
We believe that strong attendance and positive behaviour are key to student success and wellbeing, and we are thrilled to be recognised as a national leader in this area. Together, with families, staff, and our wider school community, we will continue to build a culture where every student can succeed.
