At St Paul’s Way Primary School, we value opportunities that bring our pupils, families and wider community together. Recently, our Student Council had the exciting opportunity to join the Friends of St Paul’s Way in a coffee morning session to begin planning for our upcoming Summer Fair in July.

During the session, pupils worked alongside parents to share ideas and help shape this much anticipated event. The Summer Fair will raise valuable funds for the school, supporting future opportunities and resources for all pupils.

Our Student Council played an important role in these discussions, offering creative suggestions and taking ownership of key aspects of the day.

Together, they explored a variety of stall ideas including a lucky dip, sponge the teacher and splat the rat, as well as many other fun activities. They also discussed how they would support the stalls on the day, working in partnership with parents to ensure each activity runs smoothly.

To add to the excitement, there will be a friendly challenge to see which group can raise the most money, with a prize awarded by parents to recognise their efforts.

The coffee morning provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to develop their confidence, communication and teamwork skills while contributing to a real school project. It was wonderful to see them engaging so positively with members of the Friends of St Paul’s Way and taking pride in their roles.

The Summer Fair will not only be a fun and memorable event but also a fantastic way to strengthen connections between the school and our families.

Events like this play a key role in building a strong sense of Community, where everyone feels involved, valued and proud to be part of St Paul’s Way Primary School.
