We recognise the challenges that come with transitioning from Primary to Secondary School, especially for young minds. That’s why we are committed to making this shift as smooth as possible for our students.

Whether they plan to attend SPW Secondary or another school, we give our students the opportunity to explore the Secondary School environment and experience it firsthand. This helps them prepare and gain confidence in their next academic chapter.

At St. Paul’s Way, we aim to provide not only exceptional but also innovative education. These sessions reflect our commitment to nurturing our students both academically and socially.

Our Year 6 students were welcomed into the classrooms of our Secondary School to take part in three dynamic workshops: Drama, Music and Technology.

The music group had the privilege of exploring our stunning Willoughby Theatre, where they were introduced to various musical notes and their corresponding sounds. By the end of the session, students had gained a basic understanding of reading music and how music notation works, an invaluable skill for their musical journey.

Meanwhile, our drama group engaged in exercises designed to enhance teamwork and self-expression. Starting with clapping games to promote collaboration, they then participated in an exciting game of ‘Splat,’ pushing their creativity and performance skills to the limit.

In the Technology workshop, students had the opportunity to create manual puppets. Using cardboard, pins, and double-sided tape, they designed dragon heads and created functional jaws. This hands-on activity sparked their creativity while also fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Such experiences are vital for a child’s development, as they help build confidence, spark excitement and support a smoother transition into Secondary School life. At St. Paul’s Way, our mission is to inspire, educate, and nurture the talents of every student, helping them achieve more than they ever thought possible.
