This term, Year 12 students recently took part in an Inspire Lex workshop, where they had the opportunity to hear from young professionals who shared their personal journeys into higher education and successful careers. The event encouraged students to reflect on their own ambitions while exploring the different pathways available to them after school.

Throughout the workshop, the speakers spoke openly about the challenges they had faced during their education and careers, explaining how resilience, determination and a positive mindset helped them overcome barriers. Their honest accounts gave students a realistic insight into the opportunities and obstacles that many people experience, while demonstrating that success can be achieved through perseverance and hard work.

Students took part in engaging discussions and had the opportunity to ask questions about university, employment and career progression. The conversations encouraged them to think carefully about their own goals and the practical steps they can take to achieve them.

They also explored the importance of building confidence, seeking support when needed and remaining open to new opportunities as they progress through their education.

The workshop provided students with valuable advice from professionals who have recently navigated similar experiences, making the discussions both relatable and inspiring. By hearing a range of different perspectives, students left with a greater understanding of the many routes available to them and the importance of believing in their own potential.
