Year 11 Residential Trip - Autumn 1 2025

Earlier this term, our Year 11 students enjoyed an unforgettable residential trip to PGL Windmill Hill, where they took part in a wide range of exciting outdoor activities designed to challenge, inspire, and strengthen teamwork.

Over several action-packed days, students faced thrilling experiences such as the trapeze, giant swing, and fencing, each offering unique opportunities to build courage, resilience, and trust.

From the first climb to the final swing, the trip was filled with laughter, encouragement, and determination. Many students pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, conquering fears and trying new things with the support of their peers.

The activities not only tested physical ability but also encouraged collaboration and problem-solving, as students worked together to overcome challenges and celebrate one another’s successes.

Beyond the adventure, the trip provided valuable time for reflection and bonding. Evenings were spent sharing stories, enjoying group games, and building stronger connections across the year group.

By the end of the trip, students returned home feeling confident, proud, and united with a renewed sense of what they could achieve when they support and believe in one another.

The PGL Windmill Hill experience beautifully reflects our school value of Community. Through teamwork, shared laughter, and mutual encouragement, our Year 11 students demonstrated the importance of working together and lifting each other up.

The friendships strengthened and lessons learned during this trip will continue to guide them — not only through their GCSE year but well beyond.
