This term Year 11 students and their families attended our annual Post-16 Parent Information Evening, an important event designed to help students make informed choices about their next steps after GCSEs.  

The evening provided guidance, reassurance, and practical advice as students begin planning their transition into sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or employment. 

A diverse range of post-16 providers attended, including Mulberry UTC, New City College, Access Creative College, and ELAM (East London Arts & Music).  

Each representative shared valuable insights about their courses, entry requirements, and progression opportunities.

These conversations helped students and parents gain a clearer understanding of the many pathways available and what each route could mean for their future aspirations.

Throughout the event, families had the chance to ask questions directly, explore different subject areas, and collect resources to support decision-making in the months ahead.  

The room was filled with engaging discussions, curiosity, and excitement about what lies beyond Year 11. 

Staff were incredibly proud of how proactive and engaged students were, taking ownership of their futures and showing a mature sense of purpose. The evening also highlighted the importance of parental support in guiding young people through this crucial stage of their education journey. 

As applications open in the coming months, the school looks forward to working closely with students and families to ensure each young person feels confident and well-prepared for the opportunities ahead.
