This week, our Y6 students had the exciting opportunity to visit St. Paul’s Way Secondary School as part of our ongoing commitment to bridging the transition from primary to secondary school.

This visit allowed our younger students to step into a secondary school setting, providing them with a unique, hands-on experience of what life at SPW Secondary will be like.

From the moment they arrived, the visit was designed to make our students feel at home. They were greeted by talented SPW Sixth Form students, who welcomed them with a beautiful piano performance.

They were then guided through the school by SPW Student representatives, who introduced them to key areas such as the library, classrooms, and subject-specific displays.

The tour was not only informative but also interactive, with students sharing insights into the subjects they study and the exciting projects they’ve worked on.

These personal encounters gave our students a true sense of SPW Secondary’s vibrant culture as well as a fun introduction into secondary school life.

Not to mention, our students were able to see an impressive science demonstration from the secondary school's science department, a taste of their hands-on learning approach.

At SPW, we believe in fostering a strong community where every child is encouraged to explore their interests, pursue their passions, and grow in confidence.

This visit reinforced our values and demonstrated how we prepare our students for success, both academically and socially, ensuring that their transition to secondary school is as smooth and empowering as possible.
