This term, our Year 2 students had an exciting adventure to the London Transport Museum. The trip was part of their learning about transport, and it gave them the chance to explore the fascinating ways of travel.

The children started by exploring a model London bus, stepping inside and imagining what it would be like to travel around the city.

They looked at the different areas of transport, from buses and trains to bicycles and taxis, learning about their unique features.

One of the highlights was pretending to work for Transport for London (TfL).

The children put on safety gear, just like real transport workers, and got to experience what it’s like to ensure that everything runs safely and smoothly across the city.

Another part of the museum visit involved discovering models of old trains and transport artifacts.

The children were able to see how transport has evolved over time, from steam trains to the iconic red buses. It was a great way for them to connect what they were learning in class with real-world examples.

By the end of the day, the children had learned so much about how transport works, and the different methods people use to get around London.

This trip reinforced their learning about the importance of transport in our daily lives and how it helps connect the community.

They learned that transport isn’t just about getting from one place to another, it helps bring people together, creating a stronger and more connected city.
