This term our Sports Day was a spectacular success, bringing together pupils, staff, and parents for a day of friendly competition and athletic achievement.
It was held at the Mile End Stadium and had pupils taking part in a variety of exciting events, including the 100m race, hurdles, the egg and spoon race, and even a challenging javelin throw.
It wasn’t just about physical strength and skill; teamwork and resilience were key themes throughout the day.
One of the most popular activities was the football dribble relay, where pupils worked together to complete the course with speed and accuracy.
The "Beat the Goalie" competition also proved to be a crowd favourite, with children showing off their football skills while trying to score against a determined goalkeeper.
Year 5 student Maryum O shared her excitement after the event, saying, “I’m so happy we did Sports Day. I got to win the race two times! I think everyone is being so mature during the games.”
The atmosphere was electric as parents cheered on their children from the stands, fostering a true sense of community.
Sports Day is a great example of how we embrace the value of community. By providing a space for both students and their families to engage in shared experiences, we foster a sense of belonging and unity.
Events like these help pupils develop not only physically but also socially, encouraging cooperation and sportsmanship in our school.
The focus on these values creates an environment where children are supported in becoming well-rounded individuals, prepared for both academic and personal success.
