Our recent Summer Fair was a shining example of how community bonds can be strengthened through shared celebration and support.

The event was not just a fun-filled day for pupils and their families, but also a wonderful opportunity for neighbours to join in, creating a truly inclusive atmosphere.

With the sounds of laughter and excitement filling the air, the fair brought together a diverse range of activities, from cake sales and lucky dips to face painting and bracelet making.

One of the highlights of the day was the involvement of the students. Year 5 pupil Alina, said, “I really enjoyed helping the school out by selling treats to raise money. It’s a great way to support the school!”

Many students took pride in contributing to the event, with some even managing stalls and assisting with activities. The sense of teamwork has been outstanding, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

Teachers and staff also recognised the significance of such events in fostering a strong school community.

Miss Begum explained, “It shows how much we value community as part of our school’s ethos. It brings us together and gives us the chance to practice the values we  preach.”

Kaylee, another staff member, said, “It’s a great way to celebrate for the children, families, staff, and the wider community. Everyone is happy, together, and making memories.”

Parents were equally enthusiastic, with Anna noting, “It’s great that kids get to try new things like selling treats or taking part in sports. Events like this let children show their talents and bring the whole community closer.”

The Summer Fair was a true reflection of our school's commitment to community. The school’s dedication to fostering a sense of belonging and unity was evident in every aspect of the event.

By engaging pupils, parents, and local neighbours in such a joyous occasion, we are not only strengthening bonds but also creating a thriving, supportive environment for everyone involved.
