This term, our students performed a memorable production called ‘You 2.0’ at Southwark Playhouse in Elephant and Castle.

With a fantastic cast of Year 7 to Year 12 students, the audience was truly impressed by the story and SFX.

The play was about how a young girl copes with the consequences of her rash decisions and the emotional upheaval of her relationships.

Throughout the game, she finds an unlikely ally to play with, and as they continue, they learn more intimate personal issues about each other.

The girl ends up learning her new friend was who she had originally stolen from and had caused them serious emotional damage.

The heart-warming journey of the tale was both compelling and reflective. It left the audience with a sense of hopefulness and identification.

It was nothing short of a huge success with a full house of seats filled with individuals.

The cast, most of them acting for the first time, acted their parts with confidence and received praise and admiration from their peers, teachers, and the locals of the area who watched.

This directly correlates with our mission to provide young people with the chance to experience the world of the arts first-hand, engage in constructive drama, and express their creative selves.

By providing such an inspirational opportunity, we have truly accomplished one of our values, Aspiration.

Performing at the Southwark Playhouse is proof that with dedication, courage, and encouragement, the impossible is possible for our students.

The cast, crew and event itself were truly inspirational. It served as proof of the our school’s commitment towards nurturing young talent and encouraging pupils to fulfil their potential within and beyond the world of the arts.

It begins when she decides to steal from a school locker to purchase her sister's roller skates and ends up being suspended and having to play a game that is intended to teach her how to control her emotions and behaviours.
