St Paul’s Way Student Highly Highly Commended in FS 100 word Story Competition

We are delighted to share that the judges at Bonnier Books have selected Menekse piece as a Highly Commended entry in this year’s First Story 100 Word Story Competition.

The First Story 100 Word Story Competition is an annual creative writing contest for students in First Story partner schools.

It challenges young writers to craft a complete and compelling narrative using exactly one hundred words, encouraging precision, imagination and confidence in creative expression.

Menekse reflected on the experience, saying, “It can be really hard to find time to focus on creative writing, so I am really glad that First Story gave me that opportunity. I am proud of my work and that it has been recognised, and I am hoping it opens up more possibilities for my future.”

At St Paul’s Way Secondary School, we are incredibly proud of Menekse’s achievement. Her success reflects our school values of aspiration through her commitment to developing her writing and community through her recognition of the importance of creative opportunities for all students.

This achievement shows what is possible when young people are encouraged to believe in their potential and support one another in their learning.
