This July, St Paul’s Way was proud to partner with the Global Schools Alliance to welcome twenty-eight visiting students from China.

The Global Schools Alliance is dedicated to building meaningful partnerships between schools worldwide, encouraging authentic connections and powerful opportunities for learning across cultures.

The week began with an Opening Ceremony where our Head of School offered a special welcome, followed by speeches from both St Paul’s Way students and our visiting guests.

Each visiting student was paired with a St Paul’s Way ‘buddy’, allowing them to shadow lessons, experience daily school life, and take part in activities during break and lunch times.

Year 8 student Amin Mannan reflected: “It has been a fun filled, eye-opening and unforgettable bridge between our multicultural London and historical China. I hope that we will be able to host another foreign visit in the future.”

This not only helped our visitors settle in quickly, but also gave our students the chance to showcase their leadership, communication skills and pride in their school.

A highlight of the week was the opportunity to attend the school musical together, a moment that brought everyone together in celebration of creativity and talent.

The week concluded with a Closing Ceremony, where all students were recognised for their participation with speeches and certificates. The international students also performed a traditional dance from their culture, offering a wonderful way to share and celebrate their heritage with our students.

This international programme truly embodies one of our school values, Aspiration, inspiring students to broaden their horizons, embrace new cultures and build global friendships that will shape their future.
