Thanks to an ongoing partnership between University Schools Trust and the Eze Foundation, students from SPW were invited to an event hosted by New Balance to launch their new Furon V8.
The Eze Foundation shares the UST philosophy that we want every young person to be able to leave education with the confidence to thrive beyond the school gates. Together we are on a mission to ensure our students have opportunities to explore their potential and the build the skills to do just this.
Hosted in the bustling centre of Shoreditch, students had the chance to network with industry experts and quiz a panel about their experiences which was made up of Eberechi, Ikechi Eze, Felicia Pennant, Sherlyn Koh and Mayowa Quadri.
Jesse Ward , Year 12, said, "industry experts helped us understand how they make their football boots and how much effort and thought goes into the process compared to what most people believe.”
Following the conclusion of the panel discussion, students posed for photos with the Eze brothers as well as famous content creators who they had been following online for many years.
Just when they thought it couldn’t get any better, New Balance kindly presented them with a new jumper each and free football boots.
Asmaa Alalga, Year 12, said, Meeting Eze was incredible! His passion for the game and his advice really inspired me. I felt motivated to push myself harder in my own training and start playing properly again."
Our ongoing gratitude goes to everyone associated with the Eze Foundation and New Balance for their generosity and making this experience possible for our students. This will be an evening they do not forget for a while.
