Sports Day 2025

We were delighted to hold this year’s Sports Day with the sunshine adding to the lively and joyful atmosphere.

The day began with a powerful performance from our talented Drum Works students, whose display set the tone for what became a fantastic celebration of energy, teamwork and school spirit.

Students from across year groups took part in a wide variety of activities, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

From fast-paced games of bench ball, handball, basketball and football, to table tennis matches that demanded skill and focus, every event brought out the best in our students.

A highlight for many was the ever-popular tug of war, which had both participants and spectators cheering with excitement.

Sports Day is always about more than competition. It is about encouraging our young people to stay active, try new challenges and support one another.

The event gave students the chance to demonstrate not only their athletic ability, but also their determination, teamwork and resilience.

Staff played an important role too, showing encouragement from the sidelines and helping to create an atmosphere of celebration and pride.

At SPWS we believe in nurturing the whole child, and Sports Day is one of the ways we help students to build confidence, develop healthy habits and enjoy being part of something bigger than themselves.

The day perfectly reflected our school value of Community, as students came together to support one another, celebrate achievements and strengthen the bonds that make our school such a vibrant and welcoming place.
