QMUL Centre Of A Cell Workshop

This term, we welcomed Queen Mary University of London into our school for an inspiring workshop that opened up new avenues of learning for our pupils.

Our long-standing partnership with QMUL allows us to offer experiences that broaden understanding and spark curiosity beyond the everyday classroom environment.

They delivered an engaging workshop focused on science, where pupils explored cells, viruses and hair follicles. They learned how illnesses such as the flu and the cold develop and discovered the fascinating processes taking place within the human body.

This hands-on experience allowed pupils to connect scientific ideas to real life and deepen their understanding of biology.

The visit provided our pupils with valuable life skills, strengthened their confidence and encouraged them to think ambitiously about their future pathways.

This experience links strongly to our value of Aspiration because it encouraged pupils to look ahead, set goals and recognise the possibilities available to them as they continue their academic journey.
