Recently, our students had the inspiring opportunity to perform outside the Royal London Hospital, sharing their music with patients, staff and members of the public.

Performing in a busy community space is very different from performing in front of familiar faces, and for many students it was a moment that required courage and composure.

Meeting an audience made up of people they did not know encouraged them to step outside their comfort zone, grow in confidence and experience what it means to be a musician in a real public setting.

This performance is apart of the UST Creative Artsphere programme. Creative Artsphere is a celebration of creativity across all UST schools, bringing together the artistic learning, enrichment and expressive work already taking place. It is not a single event but a festival of creative experiences that highlight the importance of imagination, expression and cultural engagement in education.

Throughout the summer term, students across the Trust will take part in workshops, performances, exhibitions and creative activities that showcase the role creativity plays in learning, wellbeing and personal development.

This event reflects our value of aspiration. By encouraging students to perform in new environments and connect with diverse audiences, we help them aim higher, embrace challenge and recognise the possibilities that open up when they believe in their potential.
