We got the exciting and educational opportunity to visit Stepney City Farm. It was an interactive learning experience in the great outdoors.

The children were treated to a tour of everything from animals to plants and gained a greater understanding of the world and everything it has to offer.

The students got to encounter a range of friendly animals, including donkeys, goats, sheep, ducks, pigs, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

Following a visit to the animals, the students had a science class that taught them about the functions of a plant's anatomy and how they all work together to assist with growth.

They got to witness everything they learned first-hand when they went into the garden and identified different herbs and crops like rosemary, mint, and spring onions.

The compost plant tour was the true highlight of the day. Our pupils had the chance to witness how scraps are composted by worms and even got to manually turn the compost handle themselves!

The day was wrapped up with a special activity of planting seeds of their own. For first-timers, gardening was truly an inspiring venture of the day.

This trip was a perfect representation of our values of Community and Aspiration. It challenged the children to understand the various functions of nature - a truly inspirational day for all.

Many of the children had never seen such animals up close before, their eyes were full of wonder and delight.
