Parents and Carers Communications
School Lunch Charges
We need to inform all parents and carers of an upcoming change regarding school lunch charges.
For many years the cost to students for a school lunch has been £2.00, even though St Paul’s Way Trust School has been charged £2.50 by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, who are our catering provider. However, Tower Hamlets has recently informed us that as of next term the cost of a meal is going to increase by 10p to £2.60. The school will continue to subsidise each meal by 50p as it currently does, but this will mean that from the start of the summer term the price of a lunch to a student will increase by 10p to £2.10.
We are sorry that we have had to do this but it is an increase that was agreed at the Tower Hamlets Cabinet meeting at the end of January and was then subsequently communicated to schools recently. If you have any questions regarding this please contact the school general office.

At SPWT we feel it is vital that parents and carers are able to access information on the curriculum across all years. In order to help ensure that this is in the most effective way the school is conducting a consultation with parents about what curriculum information would be most useful and how best to present it. If you would like to contribute to this process please contact our Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Curriculum, Firdusi Uddin, via email.
